The madridistas received the trophy for their 36th league title at a ceremony held at the Real Madrid City. The captain, Nacho Fernández, was presented with the trophy by the president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, Pedro Rocha. After the trophy presentation, the team will showcase it to all the madridistas during the visit to the institutions and to the Plaza de Cibeles.

After being presented with the trophy, Nacho was interviewed on Realmadrid TV and he said: “Winning a cup with this club is special and the league title is even more so. This is the prize for all the work we have put in over the year. We had a spectacular league season and now we bring it home. Today is going to be wonderful.”

“I would like to mention all the work of the players, the staff and everyone who helps us. Winning the league is very hard and it's a goal we set ourselves at the beginning of the season. When you achieve it, it's a proud moment. You have to live in the moment because you never know when you can win another one.”

First time as captain at Cibeles
“It makes my hair stand on end. I have been to Cibeles many times because I've won many trophies here. Today it's my turn as first captain to hang the flag and the scarf, it's going to be incredible and I've been dreaming about this moment all year. The day has come and it's going to be swarming with madridistas. This is a once-in-a-lifetime moment.”

Support from the fans
“The fans have supported us all year and the players owe them thanks. Today is the day to enjoy it. Winning the league is a great thing and it's time to go to Cibeles. Not only to celebrate this title, but also to receive support for the Champions League final that is so important for us.”
