Rodrygo: “It's wide open for us back at our stadium”
“We didn't want to lose and today's game was perfect," said the Brazialian.
Real Madrid earned a draw away at Bayern Munich, and Rodrygo, who earned the penalty that resulted in the Whites' second goal, spoke about the game: “We didn't want to lose and today's game was perfect with everything that happened. We got off to a good start, then we conceded two goals and then we equalised at the end. It's good, it's wide open for us back at our stadium. Let's see what happens.”
“These are Champions League matches. We're used to it, it's always going to be like this. In those moments when they think you're dead is when there can be more threat and that's what happened. In one part of the game we weren't doing so well and then we equalised. That's how it always works.”
On asking Kroos for the ball
“We were playing a lot on the right and I told him to play on the left as well. I told him that, but hey, what a pass!”
“We always tell Kroos to keep playing for years to come, not just one. It doesn't matter how old he is, he always has that ability and class. I love watching him and playing with him. I hope he continues.”
Alternating roles with Vini Jr.
“By playing on the left and with Vini Jr. on the inside, we're very good because we're always switching. We're used to these switches and I think it's good for the team. I hope the coach continues with this because it's going well.”
The return leg
“It's open at the Bernabéu, but we're playing in front of our fans and with all our strength. We'll see what happens, but we're looking forward to it already.”
