Mbappé, MVP of the match: “My job is to help the team, that's all I think about”
“There's a good connection with Güler, he's a young lad with great quality,” added the striker, who netted a hat-trick against Kairat Almaty.
Mbappé was named MVP of the match between Real Madrid and Kairat Almaty, on matchday two of the Champions League. The Frenchman spearheaded Madrid's victory with a hat-trick. At the end of the match, he had this to say: “We can't forget what happened at the weekend. We must never forget. This is another competition, but we have to keep thinking about what happened and keep working to get better every day so we don't have another night like that.”
“My job is to help the team, that's all I think about. I do what I can to help the team win. If I score goals, great, but if I help the team in other ways, that's good too. The important thing is that the team wins matches and trophies.”
His connection with Arda Güler
“There's a good connection. He's a young lad with great quality, a huge talent. We try to help him give his best for the team. He's playing very well at the moment and we're very happy to have him in our team.”
Missed chances
“If I have five chances, I want to score on all five. That's why Madrid bought me. I always want more. Today I scored three, which is great, but I think I could've scored more. I'm going to work to improve and try to be more efficient in front of goal.”
Courtois’ assist
“I don't know if he did it on purpose, but it was a tremendous pass. 80% of the goal was down to him.”
