De Zerbi: “Coming to the Bernabéu is an honour”
NEWS.

Olympique de Marseille coach Roberto De Zerbi spoke to the press at the Bernabéu on the eve of his side's clash with Real Madrid on Champions League matchday one (Tuesday, 9:00 pm CEST): “I'd rather be playing at home, but it's an honour to come here. We didn't play in Europe at all last year, so being here is a source of great pride for us. We'll try and get a positive result tomorrow."

“It's a game where we have to be very careful, the risk of conceding is always high. We have to be alert, and we can't afford to be wasteful in attack. I think we have the quality and the pride to achieve a good result. Playing the Champions League at home was our goal, so now we're coming here to push hard."

Xabi Alonso
“He'll achieve great things, he's fantastic. He's really clear in his ideas, he understands the atmosphere at Madrid very well. It's a team full of young players and I think he'll deliver very good results."

His team
“We have experienced players. I love my team. Aubameyang is a big loss, but we can play a few games without him. We have to find the right system because lots of players came in quite late and it's not easy to find that connection straight away."
