Benfica, Real Madrid's next opponent in the Champions League, beat Estrela Amadora at the Estadio da Luz. Mourinho's side, who will play at home again in the eighth and final matchday of the European competition, picked up three points on matchday 19 to move into third place in the Primeira Liga standings.

The home side took the lead in the 42nd minute thanks to a goal from Pavlidis. In the second half, the striker completed his brace from the penalty spot (55') and, three minutes later, Sidny extended the lead. In the 84th minute, Cabral, who had just come on as a substitute, sealed the match by making it 4-0.
