Courtois: “Football has become going to the stadium to insult and not to support”
NEWS.
Real Madrid played Valencia at Mestalla and after the match Courtois said: 'The match was not good because there was an act of racism. A few years ago Valencia reported a player from Cadiz and today this is happening here. There were monkey sounds in the 20th minute and we can't accept that'.

'One day you have to set up a camera focusing on these people, it's crazy what these people are saying. Football has become going to the stadium to insult and not to support. The referee said that they've applied the racism protocol. If Vini says he won't play anymore I'll go off with him. If he wants to show him a red card later, fine, but the first one to get a red card should be Hugo Duro, who grabbed Vinicius by the neck. If he says he's going, I'm going with him, we can't tolerate this'.

Lucas V.: ' Racism at a ground is unacceptable'
'Football takes a back seat today, we've experienced something that's hard to explain. It's unacceptable that racism is still present on the pitch, a lot of measures should be taken. In addition to the fact that Vinicius is the player who is fouled the most, the one that everyone wants to see and everyone taunts him with insults and racism. It's not good for football, which is what's important. The fan has made monkey gestures towards him. He told the referee and I believe he was taken away by the police'.
'Maybe Vinicius was wrong with his reaction, but then the goalkeeper comes out like a madman, only Vini is reviewed, the focus is on Vini. He's young and can improve on his reactions, but that doesn't mean that you can do everything to him. He gets fouled and doesn't get free-kicks and everything is being focused on him.'

Ceballos: “Vinicius is being constantly disrespected”
“Vinicius is being constantly disrespected on almost every pitch in Spain. He's a player we have to look after, he's a pillar of our league and our club. If we carry on like this I don't know where we're going to end up. Hopefully the league will protect him and we can see the best Vinicius.”

“It's a shame that we've come to this point. The coach asked him if he wanted to continue playing and Vinicius, who's a true professional, said he wanted to continue helping the team. But we see that there's nothing we can do about it. He's one of the most fouled players in the league and it's unacceptable that he has eleven yellow cards and one red card while opponents always seem to get off scot-free.”

Analysis of the match
“We weren't good in the first 45 minutes. Valencia are playing for a lot, but we're playing for the honour of this shirt and the dignity of this club. We can't just stroll around the stadiums in Spain.”
