Karim Benzema continues to prove that he is a Real Madrid legend, surpassing the 350-goal mark for the club against Almeria. The captain, who received a commemorative shirt from club president Florentino Pérez, scored a hat-trick at the Bernabéu and can now boast 352 goals in the 642 games he has played in his 14 seasons as a Real Madrid player. He is the second player in Madrid’s history to reach this figure after Cristiano Ronaldo 451.

The Frenchman's goals are spread out as follows: 236 in LaLiga, 78 in the Champions League, 25 in the Copa del Rey, 7 in the Spanish Super Cup, 4 in the Club World Cup and 2 in the European Super Cup. His scoring record was achieved in a fantastic 2021/22 season, in which he scored 44 goals and was the top scorer not only in the Champions League but also in LaLiga. All this was key to him winning the 2022 Ballon d'Or. In terms of opponents, Athletic is his favourite victim, having scored 19 against the Basque side.
Fourth highest scorer in LaLiga history
Benzema is now the fourth top scorer in the history of the Spanish league with 236 goals, overtaking Hugo Sánchez 234. The captain is now only behind three players: Zarra 251, Cristiano Ronaldo 312 and Messi 474.

Second in all-time victory ranking
Following the win against Almería, Benzema has become the Madrid player with the second most victories of all time. The Frenchman is on 438 victories and is level with Ramos 437. The record is held by Casillas 463. These victories have helped him to amass a remarkable silverware list, which most notably includes the European Cup, which he has lifted it five times. He started all the finals and scored the first goal for La Decimotercera against Liverpool. He has also picked up 5 Club World Cups, 4 Uefa Super Cups, 4 LaLiga titles, 2 Copa del Rey trophies and 4 Spanish Super Cups.
