Bellingham wins Golden Boy and Golden Boy Web 2023
“I'm going to give it my all to win trophies both for Real Madrid and my country,” said the madridista, who collected the ‘Tuttosport' awards as Europe's best player under 21 years of age.
Jude Bellingham received the Golden Boy Award 2023 and the Golden Boy Web 2023, presented by Tuttosport to the best player under 21 years of age plying their trade at a European club. Real Madrid's English midfielder expressed his delight at the ceremony in Turin: “I have to have big goals, to win the lot if possible. I enjoy playing for my country, England, and with Real Madrid as well. The pressure is huge but I'm so happy to represent both of these teams. I'm going to give it my all to win trophies both for my country and for Real Madrid." The madridista came out on top in the vote by 50 sports journalists, who chose from a list of 25 finalists, including his teammate Arda Güler. He also picked up the highest number of votes from the Italian publication's website users.
The accolades come following the Kopa Trophy that Bellingham clinched at the Ballon d'Or gala back on 30 October, again recognising him as the best player under 21. The Englishman has enjoyed a stunning start to the season for Real Madrid, netting 15 goals already, a career record.
