The National Stadium in Warsaw will host today's European Super Cup final, as Real Madrid go in search of their first trophy of the season against Atalanta (9pm CEST). This will be the first official match for our team at this ground, having already visited it 10 years ago for a friendly, when they played a pre-season match against Fiorentina on 16 August 2014.
The stadium can hold 58,000 fans and hosts Polish national team matches. It was officially opened on 29 January 2012 for the UEFA European Championship in Poland and Ukraine. It also hosted the 2014 Europa League final. Other major events such as concerts and other sporting events also take place at the stadium. It has a retractable fibreglass roof, which houses four large screens.
