Ancelotti: “We're heading into the European Super Cup full of confidence and belief"
“It'll be a tough game, Atalanta have made it here because they had a great Europa League campaign," underlined the coach.
Carlo Ancelotti spoke to UEFA's official media channels about the first title clash of the season against Atalanta: “The European Super Cup will be tough, as it always is, because it's the very start of the season and the players haven't had long to prepare for the match. But we're coming into it full of confidence and belief, while being aware of the difficulties... We have great respect for them as a team but we hope we can come into the clash in the best possible shape."
Mbappé
“Mbappé will bring his quality, as well as his attitude and discipline. Everyone at Real Madrid is thrilled to have him here. The fans, the club, the players… We're sure he's going to be brilliant.”
The team's future
“I'm really enjoying working with Güler and Endrick because they're very fast learners. They're always so receptive to instructions. They're eager to grow and to improve. It's interesting that Vinicius, Rodrygo, Camavinga or Bellingham aren't considered young players. We have a young squad with an incredible future. It will depend on them, their ability to stick together and build a strong group. In the end, the group, the team, is always how things are won."
The Champions League
“I'm in a good place, at a great club with fantastic players. I have a wonderful relationship with the Champions League. It's brought me so much joy. It's given me a lot of success and, of course, the odd disappointment. You can't win it all. But it's fair to say the Champions League has given me more than I have given to it."
