NEWS.

Carlo Ancelotti is set to lead Real Madrid at Wembley in what will be his sixth European Cup final. The Italian has extended his lead as the coach with the most appearances in the top continental finale, ahead of Miguel Muñoz, Lippi, Ferguson, Klopp and Guardiola, all of whom have been involved on four occasions.

This is his third European Cup final with Real Madrid. He previously took our team to La Décima in Lisbon in 2014, including a legendary moment in madridismo history with Ramos' 93rd-minute goal against Atlético, which resulted in an extra-time win thanks to goals for BaleMarcelo and Cristiano Ronaldo (4-1). In 2022, Ancelotti won La Decimocuarta on his return to the Real Madrid dugout. The final came at the Stade de France in Saint Denis against Liverpool, and Courtois was named Player of the Match as Vini Jr. struck the only goal of the game (0-1).

Milan
His other three finals were during his spell in charge of Milan. His first game as coach in the European title-decider took place on 28 May 2003. Milan got their hands on the Champions League trophy at Old Trafford thanks to a shootout win over Juventus after the game had finished 0-0. The next came in Istanbul in 2005 against Liverpool, again decided on penalties (3-3) but this time the trophy ended up going to the English side. Liverpool were the opposition in his third final too, this time in Athens in 2007, where Milan ran out 2-1 winners.
