Real Madrid-Villarreal: The League returns to the Bernabéu

Competition returns for Real Madrid after this long break due to international commitments, and it does so with a challenging match. Our team faces Villarreal, who finished third last season and is competing in the Champions League, in the eighth matchday of the League (9:00 pm CEST; Orange TV and Movistar LaLiga).

Mourinho's side returns to the Santiago Bernabéu almost a month after their last home game. The objective is to secure a win and continue the great start to the season at our stadium: four victories in four matches played (14 goals scored and 3 conceded).

“We’re playing against a tough opponent, and we need to get the points,” said Mourinho during the press conference beforehand. For this match, our coach has called up these players in the squad. This will be the first game of an intense month of October, during which our team will play two more League matches, including the Clásico, and two more Champions games.
