Xabi Alonso's boys will be looking to the take three points that will guarantee them top spot in the table at the end of this weekend's games. The home crowd will have a key role to play, having already seen four wins from four this season so far - three in LaLiga and one in the Champions League.

“We have to play at a high level because it's an important game," stated the coach in the pre-match press conference in the buildup to the LaLiga matchday eight clash. Our coach will have Militão back in the squad, after he didn't travel to Kazakhstan to face Kairat Almaty. Mbappé will be available too, following his sublime hat-trick in the Champions League that sees him sit on 13 goals (9 in the league) in just nine games this season so far.

Villarreal
The team from Castellón are enjoying a fine start to the campaign. They arrive at the Bernabéu on a three-match winning streak in LaLiga (Osasuna and Athletic Club at Sevilla away), and total five wins, one draw and one defeat. Canadian forward Buchanan is their leading scorer in the competition with three to his name.
