El Clasico is coming to New Jersey. Ancelotti's side face Barcelona at MetLife Stadium for the second match of the DirectTV Soccer Champions Tour (Saturday, 3 August, 7pm local time; Sunday, 4 August, 1am Spanish time). Preparations continue as the team gears up for a season that officially kicks off on 14 August against Atalanta in the European Super Cup.
Following their stay in Chicago, the European champions head to New Jersey for their second warm-up game. The last match is against Chelsea in Charlotte (7 August, 1am Spanish time; 6 August, 7pm local time). The team is yet again enjoying the support of the Madrid fans in the United States.
Second test
This will be the second encounter for Real Madrid and Barcelona this summer. Our team played their opener against Milan in Chicago and Hansi Flick's team, the new coach of the Catalans, took on Manchester City in Orlando. It will be the fourth time the Clasico has taken place in the United States. After previous clashes in Miami, Las Vegas and Dallas in recent summers, the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey will host another Real Madrid-Barcelona match.
