The Bernabéu hosts the first Clásico of the season this afternoon. Our team welcome Barcelona on matchday ten of LaLiga (4:15 pm CET), aiming to maintain their lead in the competition and widen the gap between themselves and the second-placed team.

Four days after beating Juventus in the Champions League (1-0), our team end a demanding week with a visit from the Catalan outfit. They will do so in front of their fans at the Bernabéu, where Xabi Alonso's side have a perfect record after six games, with 11 goals scored and 3 conceded.

"El Clásico is special, we want the stadium to have big game energy," explained Xabi Alonso at the press conference ahead of the match. The coach will once again be able to count on Carvajal, Trent, Ceballos and Huijsen, who return to the squad.

The opposition
Our opponents come into this game on the back of a win over Olympiacos in the Champions League. In LaLiga, they are in second place with 22 points (two behind our team). Flick's side have also won all their home league games this season, but have dropped points in two away games (against Rayo Vallecano and Sevilla).
