Real Madrid are back in LaLiga action after an 18-day break and return to the Santiago Bernabéu once again. Ancelotti’s side, who recently lifted the Spanish Super Cup after beating Atlético in the semi-finals and Barcelona in the final, take on Almería on matchday 21 of the competition (4.15pm CET).

The Whites will be vying to secure their 16th win in the league and continue their impressive run of results at the Santiago Bernabéu, where they remain unbeaten this season. In the twelve games played at the Bernabéu, Ancelotti's men have won 11 and drawn one.  Real Madrid go into this matchday in second place and one point behind Girona, who have played one more game.

“Playing at home is very important. Our fans help us to perform at our best in every game,” said Carlo Ancelotti in the press onferene ahead of the clash. The Italian coach welcomes back Lucas Vázquez from injury and he has been named in the squad as the madridistas look to keep an 8th consecutive clean sheet at the Bernabéu.

Almería
The Andalusian side go to the Santiago Bernabéu as the bottom side in the league, but after a goalless draw against Girona last weekend and with the confidence of competing until the end in the last few games. In their previous seven league games, they were narrowly defeated in four of them, including the visits to Montjuic (3-2) and Cívitas Metropolitano (2-1), and they drew the three others. Sergio Arribas, who played for Real Madrid Castilla last season, is their top scorer (5 goals).
