Racing-Real Madrid: aiming for victory on the return to Santander
Our team, returning to El Sardinero 15 years later, seeks their sixth consecutive victory (4:15 pm CEST; Orange TV and Dazn).
Real Madrid returns to action a week after their great victory in the first Clásico of the season. Our team returns to El Sardinero 15 years later to face Racing de Santander in the eleventh matchday of the League (4:15 pm CEST; Orange TV and Dazn).
Mourinho's objective is to maintain their excellent form. They have achieved five consecutive victories and aim to extend the streak this afternoon in the first of their three consecutive away matches before another international break. AEK Athens in the Champions League and Valencia in the League are the next two matches on the road.
“The last victory holds great significance if we win again,” said Mourinho in the pre-match press conference. For this match, our coach has called up these players. Mbappé, who has scored in four consecutive matches following his stellar performance at Camp Nou, is included in the squad. Additionally, he has already reached 100 goals as a madridista.
Racing de Santander
Our opponent comes into the match after winning at home last week against Espanyol. Undefeated at home this season (three wins and two draws), they started the matchday in thirteenth place. Zabiri, with eight goals, is their top scorer in the league.
You have to go back to September 2011 to find the last visit of Real Madrid to Santander in the League. The match ended in a goalless draw in a season where our team, under Mourinho's guidance, won the title with a historic 100 points and 121 goals.
