Marcos Llorente named man of the match in the final
'I am thrilled to score my first Real Madrid goal, and it came in a final', said the youngster who made it 2-0.
Marcos Llorente was named best player of the Club World Cup. The midfielder played 82 minutes, and scored the second Real Madrid goal with a volley from outside the area. After the game, he said: “I am thrilled to have scored my first Real Madrid goal, it's great that it came at this level in a final”.
“We were hoping for this result. We worked all week, were tough in defense and showed ferocity in attack, that's what fans want. There were chances and we could have had more goals. We are leaving here champions with the trophy in our hands”.

"When things like that come off, you have to be very happy. You don’t always win finals nor do you always score goals, at least in my case. Scoring a goal to help the team is the best feeling and I’m very happy. The goal came from a corner and I said this is mine. It’s dedicated to my family, my friends and my girlfriend. I'm now going to celebrate with them".

"We always want to go for every title and this was another. We wanted the record of winning the Club World Cup so many times. It’s a reward for the whole team, for the work they’ve done. It’s a nice way to end the year and start the next one in the best possible way".
