A squad full of experience for the final
Of the 24 players in Zidane's squad, 22 have already tasted victory in the Champions League final.
Experience will certainly favour Real Madrid on Saturday night in Cardiff. The Whites, who will be playing in their third Champions League final in four years, boast a team who well versed in games of this magnitude. Indeed, 22 of the 24 players at Zidane's disposal already have a Champions League trophy on their record. Only Asensio and Mariano would be tasting victory for the first time if the Whites beat Juventus on Saturday 8:45pm CEST.
As well as these two players, Morata and Coentrão who did win La Décima are the others who weren't at the final in Milan last year. The 20 remaining players all had a hand in lifting the Undécima against Atlético and will be hoping to repeat the feat and defend the title in Cardiff.
La Décima and La Undécima
Precisely half the squad have been involved in both of Real Madrid's last two Champions League wins. Present for La Décima and La Undécima were defenders, Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Varane, Nacho and Marcelo; midfielders Casemiro, Modric and Isco; and forwards, Benzema, Bale and Cristiano. The Portuguese star is the only one with three titles to his name, having also won the trophy on one occasion with Manchester United.
Titles
Aside from the Champions League, in recent years Real Madrid have also got their hands on two Club World Cups and two European Super Cups, both in the 2014/15 and 2016/17 campaigns. The majority of players who played in these games remain with Zidane's squad and will now be looking to add to the madridista legend by clinching La Duodécima.
