Our reserve team dominated and were on the front foot throughout the match, but were unable to score at the Tajonar sports complex.
Despite dominating throughout the match, Real Madrid Castilla were unable to score against Osasuna B at the Tajonar sports complex. Arbeloa's side came up against the home side's staunch defensive system, who then surprised them with a quick counterattack to score the winning goal midway through the first half.
Our reserve team took control of the ball from the start and could have taken the lead after 20 minutes following a team move that ended with Thiago's left-footed rocket from inside the area going over the bar.
Another chance came two minutes later. Palacios received the ball inside the area and his shot on the half-turn ended up in the hands of Stamatakis. It was from there that the home goalkeeper started the move that would end in the 1-0. He sent a long ball forward, Pedroarena crossed and Ander Yoldi put the ball in the net. Our reserve team responded in the 33rd minute when Pol Fortuny went on a wonderful solo run, before passing the ball to Palacios, but his shot missed the target.

The score remained 1-0 at half-time, and after the break, Fran González showed his reflexes to save Dani García's shot from inside the six-yard box. From then on, it was all Real Madrid Castilla, who came up against the home side's resolute defense time and time again, with the hosts also surprising with quick counterattacks. In one of these, Lumbreras found himself one-on-one with our goalkeeper, who was superb in preventing the score from becoming 2-0 in the 70th minute. Arbeloa's men continued to attack in search of at least a deserved point, which could have come in the 82nd minute with a shot from Diego Aguado inside the area that went wide and in added time with a powerful header from Fortea that failed to find the target.
