Castilla beat Intercity
Jeremy de León's first official goal gives the reserve team another three points, who go on to win four and draw one of their last five games.
Real Madrid Castilla kept up their excellent form by picking up three more points away to Intercity, thanks to Jeremy de León's first official goal for our team. Borja Alonso's shot from the edge of the area could have made it 2-0 but ended up crashing against the post. The defensive solidity shown by Raúl's side was the key to the win at the Antonio Solana, with our reserve team only conceding two goals in their last five games. The madridistas have now gone five games without defeat, winning four of them. The madridistas finish the season next Saturday against Málaga at the Alfredo Di Stéfano (7:00pm CEST).
The clearest chances in the first half fell to Real Madrid Castilla. The first came early, after eight minutes, as the ball missed the target by inches after David González's shot from inside the area. Another close call came in the 19th minute. Víctor Muñoz crossed and the ball was passed around the area until Jeremy de León arrived, but his shot was well blocked by defender Eneko Undabarrena. The Puerto Rican made no mistake 18 minutes later. The ball was won back in the opposition half and Theo, who very cleverly lifted the ball over the goalkeeper, Juanpa, to leave Jeremy de Leon perfectly placed to tap home his first official goal for our team.
A solid display away from home
The second half started much more evenly matched and with hardly any dangerous moves until Borja Alonso, who had been on the pitch for four minutes, received the ball on the edge of the area, controlled and tried his luck with a shot in the 69th minute that was denied by the woodwork. From then until the end, the game was non-stop and there were constant chances in both areas, but the scoreline remained the same and Raúl's team earned their fourth win of their last five.
