The Under-19s extended their perfect start to their Youth League campaign with four games played. Julián López de Lerma's team got the better of Liverpool on the road thanks to goals by Jacobo (14’), Adri Pérez (49’), Barroso (76’) and Diego Aguado (93'), to inflict their first defeat of the season. Having taken 12 points from a possible 12, our academy side sit alone at the top of the table.
It was an electric start by our boys, who made their intentions clear from the off. Following a series of dangerous moves, the first goal duly arrived with less than quarter of an hour gone. Liberto fired a fierce delivery into the box, where Jacobo was waiting to turn past the English goalkeeper on 14’. The madridistas imposed their superiority throughout the remainder of the half, enjoying a couple of fine chances to extend their lead. The best opportunity also fell at the boots of Jacobo, who stole the ball back as Liverpool looked to play out and smashed an effort against the crossbar.

The second half got underway much as the first had ended, with Madrid looking sharp up top. It wasn't long before the scoreboard read 0-2, as Diego Aguado whipped a corner into the front post and Adri Pérez got in front of his man and stuck out a leg to poke it beyond the goalkeeper (49’). Liverpool looked to hit back, but our team maintained their energy levels high as they pressed to kill off the game completely.

Barroso and Diego Aguado make sure
The third goal of the game arrived with 76 minutes played, fruit of a perfect team counter-attack finished by Barroso with a sweetly struck shot across goal. Diego Aguado completed the rout to put the gloss on a fine individual display when he made it 0-4 in time added-on. It was an impressive performance by our boys, who have still won every game so far this season.
