The Real Madrid Under-19s team were unable to pick up any points in their sixth and final match of the Youth League group stage. Julián López de Lerma's players, who secured their place in the last 32 on matchday four, lost to Manchester City at the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium. City came out strong and put the Madridistas under pressure. The team tried to counterattack, and Ignacio Gascón had the first chance of the match with a shot from the edge of the box that sailed wide (11').

The visitors bossed possession and took the lead in the 23rd minute through Gray, who beat Voloshyn with a free kick from the edge of the box. With five minutes to go before half-time, Liberto won a penalty when he pounced on a poor back pass from the defence and was brought down inside the area. However, Brits saved the Madridista's spot kick.

No joy for the Under-19s
In the second half, Lacosta almost equalised with a shot from the edge of the box that brushed the post (51'). Despite the academy team's chances, City increased their lead through McAidoo in the 70th minute, when he beat Voloshyn with a cross-shot. Heskey made it 0-3 with a fine strike into the top corner (84'), and the same player sealed the victory with a penalty (89').
