Real Madrid Castilla achieved their first victory of the season. Our reserve team secured the win in their debut at the Alfredo Di Stéfano by defeating Juventud Torremolinos in the second matchday of the league. The madridistas were superior in the first half, where Cestero opened the scoring. In the second half, the visitors reacted in search of an equalizer, but Castilla held off the rival's push, and Pol Fortuny sealed the match by scoring the 2-0.

Leiva tested the opposing goalkeeper as soon as the match began. The forward connected a good low right-footed shot from the edge of the area, which Javi Cuenca sent out for a corner with a dive. The reserve team dominated, although they lacked precision in front of goal. Juventud Torremolinos had their first chance in the 20th minute when Buch received a great through ball to go one-on-one with Mestre, who prevented the goal in the duel. Our team's persistence paid off in the 25th minute. Roberto delivered a good cross into the area, which the defense cleared. Cestero picked up the rebound and, with a shot from the edge of the area aimed at the post, beat Javi Cuenca. The goal was initially disallowed for offside but was awarded after a review on the FVS.

Castilla holds on and scores the 2-0
After the break, the visitors upped their game. Kaptoum came close to equalizing with a long-range shot that grazed the post (55’). Juventud Torremolinos kept trying but couldn't beat Mestre. Pol Fortuny and Naasei responded with two consecutive shots, which the opposing goalkeeper saved (64’ and 65’, respectively). From there, Castilla regained the initiative, and Mesonero had a great chance to make it 2-0 with two close-range shots that Petersson cleared off the goal line. With five minutes left in regulation time, Pol Fortuny sealed the game. Ciria controlled the ball in the opponent's area and assisted the captain, who scored a beautiful left-footed first-time shot to secure the definitive 2-0.
