A brace from Loren Zúñiga and goals from Gonzalo and Víctor Muñoz gave our reserve team victory against Fuenlabrada.

Real Madrid Castilla beat Fuenlabrada in the last game of the season at the Alfredo Di Stéfano, the penultimate game of the league season. Raúl's side dominated the game from start to finish in a convincing 4-0 win. Loren Zúñiga opened and closed the scoring with a brace, Gonzalo grabbed his 25th goal for the reserve team this season from the penalty spot, while Víctor Muñoz scored the other Madrid goal.
The game could not have got off to a better start for Raúl's side, who needed just three minutes to take the lead. Pol Fortuny crossed a ball into the box from the right flank and Loren Zúñiga took advantage of a rebound to make it 1-0. The visitors responded two minutes later with a shot from Moyano from the edge of the area that Fran González kept out with a fine save.
Gonzalo scores his 25th goal
Castilla continued to dominate and, in the 20th minute, they extended their lead. Loren Zúñiga was brought down by Alba inside the area and Gonzalo took on the responsibility of converting the penalty for his 25th goal for the reserve team. The striker equals the most goals by a Castilla player in a regular league campaign in the 21st century (Mariano in the 2015/16 campaign). Fuenlabrada could have reduced the arrears in the 27th minute through Bilal, but Fran González managed to beat away his shot. Before the break, Pol Fortuny and Loren also came close to scoring for Castilla, but the visiting keeper was equal to the task.
In the second half, the opposition stepped up their game in search of a goal. Barbu was prominent in the visitors' chances, while Loren Zúñiga had the chances for our reserve team. After the hour mark, Víctor Muñoz grabbed the third after an excellent individual move in which he dribbled past a defender and placed a fine finish just inside the post.
Loren Zúñiga seals the win
Eight minutes from time, one of the game's standout players, Loren Zúñiga, sealed the win with a powerful right-footed long-range shot past the keeper. Despite the win, Castilla will not be able to play in the promotion playoff after the results of the rest of the day’s matches. Our reserve team will be looking to close the season with a win away at Alcoyano (Saturday, 7pm CEST).
