Real Madrid Castilla were beaten away to Atlético B in the Primera Federación matchday 28 fixture. The game was influenced by a decision after our side took the lead with a legal goal by Carrillo, but the referee Palencia Caballero disallowed it for a non-existent offside.

Our reserve team created the first chances of the game. A well-struck shot from outside the area from Cuenca was deflected wide by Iturbe (4'). The home side responded after four minutes when El Jebari's cross was headed over the bar by Niño. Pablo Pérez could have put Atlético ahead on the half-hour mark with a cross-shot that Cañizares turned behind for a corner. Minutes later, Bri and Niño also tried their luck, but their efforts didn't trouble the Madrid goal. The last chance of the first half was a Mario Martín long-range shot that was saved by the opposition goalkeeper.

Carrillo's goal disallowed
With 52 minutes on the clock, the wrongly disallowed goal for Castilla came. Cuenca crossed from the left, Álvaro won the ball with his head and Carrillo, who was on side, scored but the referee signalled offside. Four minutes later, Nico Paz came close to putting Castilla ahead with a cross-shot that crashed against the woodwork. In the final stages of the game, Mariano ('89) and Raihani ('93) struck for the home side and the derby ended 2-0. Castilla's next game is at home to Castellón (Saturday, 6pm).
