Raúl's side beat Murcia with a spectacular brace from Nico Paz and goals from Víctor Muñoz, Gonzalo and Álvaro.
Real Madrid Castilla closed February with a spectacular win against Murcia at the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium. Nico Paz netted a stunning brace: first with a right-footed shot from outside the area and then with a inch-perfect free-kick. Víctor Muñoz managed to widen the gap and Gonzalo increased the score for our reserve team with a 4-0 win. The opposition managed to reduce the lead, but Álvaro made it 5-1 in the 90th minute.
The first half ended with no clear goal scoring opportunities. Both teams played with great intensity, but neither team was able to trouble the opponent's keeper and the score was 0-0 at half-time. Everything changed after the break and Castilla did not miss the first chance of the game. A lightning-quick counter-attack from inside his own half by Nico Paz, who unleashed a right-footed shot from outside the area that Gianni could not keep out (48').
Attacking display from Castilla
The midfielder wanted more and eight minutes later he made it 2-0 with another superb strike from a precise free-kick, which hit the post and went into the back of the net. Raul's side were looking very comfortable and found the net in the 68th minute. Ribes, from deep in his own half, played a lofted through ball to Victor Munoz, who beat his marker and controlled the ball first time. The midfielder drove towards goal and struck with the outside of his right foot to beat the keeper.
That wasn't all for the afternoon and Gonzalo made it 4-0 after collecting a pass from Nico Paz, cutting inside the box and firing a tight shot against the post. Murcia managed to reduce the deficit in the 88th minute with a Carrillo bicycle kick, but a minute later, Álvaro, who had just entered the field of play, restored the lead by stealing the ball in the opposing area and beating Gianni with his right foot.
