Real Madrid Castilla are unstoppable at home. Our reserve team secured their sixth consecutive win at the Di Stéfano and are not letting up in their fight to stay at the top of the table. Arbeloa's men had to come from behind and showed maturity and patience to get the three points after S. Mendes' goal in the 28th minute. The equaliser came in added time with a cross from D. Jiménez that hit Toño Calvo, and in the second half came the recital of our reserve team that crystallised with goals from Mesonero and Loren Zúñiga.

Castilla came out dominating and began to arrive assiduously in the Guadalajara area. Before the quarter of an hour was up, our reserve team asked for a review of J. Martínez's challenge on Yáñez inside the area, but referee Olatz Rivera decided not to award a penalty after observing the play on the monitor. Despite deserving to score earlier, Arbeloa's team conceded in the 25th minute when S. Mendes found the back of the net for the visitors. The goal, especially because it was undeserved, did a lot of damage to the home side, who could even have conceded another three minutes later, with another shot from S. Mendes, which was answered by a great save from Fran González.

From then on, the home side dominated again and could even have equalised with a Palacios free-kickwhich missed the target by inches in 34'. And in stoppage time, it was 1-1. A great move by Mesonero, who passed back, D. Jiménez crossed, and Toño Calvo, in his attempt to clear the ball, put the ball into his own net. After the break, Toño Calvo stepped on Palacios in a promising goalmouth scramble and was shown a second yellow card. The visitors were down to ten men in the 48th minute. Two minutes later, Mesonero was again the protagonist when he made it 2-1 with a shot from a tight angle from the edge of the area.

Our reserve team was unleashed, and in the 62nd minute, they widened the gap after a miscommunication between Ablanque and goalkeeper A. Zarco, which Loren Zúñiga took advantage of to score at his leisure. From then until the end, Arbeloa's side showed enough maturity to avoid suffering and even maintain the lead they had gained.
