It was an evenly matched affair in the early stages of the game. In the 7th minute, Obrador warned with a high shot from the edge of the area. Castilla's best spell began in the 26th minute, when Álvaro opened the scoring with his left foot after a rebound following a beautiful individual move by Nico Paz.

Raúl's men were not satisfied and within five minutes Theo and Obrador were responsible for turning the 1-0 lead into a 3-0 lead. In the 28th minute, the left-back put in a powerful low cross, Palacios dummied and the midfielder shot first time to extend the lead. It didn't stop there as Theo got his brace four minutes later after beating his marker to a precise header from Obrador's perfect cross. The home side were now in total control and, in the 40th minute, Edgar came close to scoring another but his shot hit the crossbar.
Intercity pulled one back early in the second half with a goal from Nsue (49'). Mario de Luis prevented another goal for the visitors by getting a strong hand to a close range shot from Aarón. Raúl's side were unlucky to concede the third three minutes later with a powerful shot from Guillem.
