Arbeloa's boys head to the Molineux Stadium for the first game of the Group Stage (8:00 pm CEST).
The Premier League International Cup gets underway this evening for Real Madrid Castilla, as they are set to take part for the first time ever. Arbeloa's boys head to the Molineux Stadium tonight to take on Wolverhampton Wanderers in the opening Group Stage clash (8:00 pm CEST).
Our academy side, who won their first league game of the season against Lugo (2-1), now face the English outfit, who have picked up two wins and a draw in their opening three Premier League 2 fixtures. Having been placed in Group A, the madridistas will also face Everton (3 December; 8:00pm), Manchester City (16 December; 8:00pm) and Southampton (TBD) in this phase.
Format
The competition is organised by the Premier League and is held entirely in England for U21 teams. It is made up of four groups of eight teams, with each comprising four English sides and four from other European leagues. The top two in each group will make the quarter-finals, from which point a single-game knockout format is followed.
