Under-19s vs. Salzburg: a place in the Youth League quarter-finals at stake

The Under-19s take on Salzburg in the UEFA Youth League Round of 16 2:00pm CET. Arbeloa's team, who remain unbeaten this season, will be hoping to book their place in the competition quarter-finals for the seventh time in their history. The tie takes place in a single game at the Alfredo Di Stéfano.
Our youth team made it into the knock-out stages after finishing top of Group F ahead of Shakhtar Donetsk, RB Leipzig and Celtic. They were unbeaten in their group, picking up five wins and a draw, as well as boasting the best goal-scoring record in the competition with 23 to their name already.
The opposition
Salzburg made their way to the Round of 16 through the play-off round, beating Young Boys 2-3 after finishing second in Group E. Last season's runners-up, they crossed paths with Real Madrid in the 2019/20 campaign, with our team running out 2-1 winners in the semi-finals on their way to the title. If they make it through this round, our Under-19s will face the winner of the clash between Barcelona and AZ Alkmaar.
