The Juvenil A of Real Madrid was unable to secure its place in the Final Four of the Copa del Rey in this category. The team coached by Álvaro López was defeated by Betis at the Ciudad Real Madrid in the quarterfinal match of the competition. Barroso put our youth team ahead, but before the end of the first half, Rubén de Sá equalized with a goal that should not have counted, as he invaded the area before his teammate Oya took a penalty. In the second half, the visitors sealed the tie during added time.

During the early stages of the match, our youth team led the offensive actions. After 15 minutes, Pol Duran struck a shot in the area that the opposing goalkeeper saved, and immediately Rafa Oya responded with a shot that went slightly high. The Juvenil A kept trying, but the excellent saves by Manu González prevented the goal.

The persistence paid off in the 39th minute when Barroso cleverly capitalized on a rebound after a shot by Ciria to make it 1-0. However, Betis leveled the match four minutes later following a penalty committed by Guille. Voloshyn deflected Rafa Oya's shot from the penalty spot, but Rubén de Sá, who had entered the area before the kick was taken, scored the 1-1 with ease.

After the restart, the match remained evenly balanced. Goal-scoring opportunities became scarce until the 63rd minute when Migue Romero fired a shot from outside the box, which our goalkeeper sent out for a corner. In the 83rd minute, Carlos Díez had a chance to score the second goal after a run from midfield that ended with a shot saved by Manu González. In added time, Betis scored the winning goal with a header by Curro Macías following a free-kick.
