Castilla's calendar for the 2025-26 league season
The academy team, who are in Group I of the Primera Federación, will kick off on the weekend of 30-31 August against Lugo.
Real Madrid Castilla's league schedule for the 2025-26 season, which will kick off on the weekend of 30-31 August, has been announced. Castilla's first opponents will be Lugo, who they will face at the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium. On the last matchday, they will visit Guadalajara on 23-24 May 2026.
Álvaro Arbeloa's side have been placed in Group I of the Primera Federación, where they will play against teams from Galicia, Asturias, Castilla y León, Extremadura, Castilla-La Mancha, Madrid, Navarra, the Basque Country and the Canary Islands.
Competition format
The 40 clubs that comprise the Primera Federación are divided into two groups of 20. The competition will take place in two phases. The first phase will be the regular season. Those that finish in first position will be promoted directly to the Segunda Division, while those classified between second and fifth position will play in the promotion play-off. The last five finishers will be the clubs that will be relegated to the Segunda Federación.
