4-1: Castilla comfortable winners against Linares
Goal feast at the Di Stéfano with Álvaro, Blanco, Dotor and Arribas on the scoresheet.
Castilla put on another fine footballing display at the Alfredo Di Stéfano after defeating Linares 4-1 on matchday 25 of the Primera RFEF. Raúl´s charges produced an emphatic performance to pick up another precious three points and move up the league table. Álvaro, Blanco with a fine strike from the edge of the area, Dotor and Arribas handed the Whites their second win on the bounce on home soil and their ninth this season.
The madridistas started the clash brightly and carved out their first chance in the 3rd minute when Arribas and Peter linked up well in the box, but the latter´s effort narrowly missed the target. Castilla bossed possession and almost opened the scoring when Arribas produced a neat bit of individual skill to beat three players, before firing over the crossbar. Raúl‘s men looked to harm their opponents down the flanks and it wasn´t long before they went ahead. A fine through ball by Aranda found Miguel, whose low cross into the danger zone found Álvaro who beat Razak to make it 1-0 33’. Arribas then struck a post on the stroke of half-time.

The second half began very much like the first half had ended, with the hosts on top, and they doubled their lead on 51’ with a sensational goal. Blanco controlled the ball on his chest and fired past the keeper from the edge of the area to put his side 2-0 up. Linares reduced the deficit courtesy of a downward header by Copete. But the academy side were not deterred and increased their lead in the 63rd minute. Álvaro led the counterattack to play in Dotor, who netted the third goal for the Whites. In the closing stages of the game, David won back possession and laid the ball off to Arribas to score his team´s fourth at ease and secure the spoils.
