The Under-19s have booked their place in the UEFA Youth League quarter-finals. Arbeloa's boys came from behind against Salzburg at the Alfredo Di Stéfano in their Round of 16 clash to extend their unbeaten run across all competitions this season. The Austrian outfit went ahead from the penalty spot in the first half but the relentless academy side levelled through Pol just into the second half, before a Jacobo header and stunning Iker Bravo free-kick completed the turnaround. The Under-19s will now face the winners of the tie between Barcelona and AZ Alkmaar in the next round, set to be played on the 14th or 15th of March.

Nico Paz enjoyed the first chance of the game as he evaded the attentions of two defenders before unleashing a drive which was stopped by Wallner on the edge of the box 10’. He then sent the resulting free-kick narrowly over the crossbar, before Manuel Ángel enjoyed a great chance after some fine play by Pol and Obrador. However, it was Konaté who opened the scoring from 12 yards after a penalty was awarded against Serrano. Ten minutes on, Palacios came within inches of a leveller but his shot flew just wide of the target. Salzburg responded with a swift counter-attack but Piñeiro stood strong in a one-on-one on the stroke of half-time.

Arbeloa's team mount a comeback
The youth side came out in search of the comeback after the break and they were in no mood to hang around. A sublime team move was nearly finished by Manuel Ángel from outside the box but Krumrey's save fell to Pol, who turned the rebound into the empty net 46’. All square. The madridistas immediately had the chance to go in front but saw two successive strikes crash back off the woodwork. The siege continued though and on the hour-mark, Jacobo did make it 2-1 with a superb header from Pol's corner. Salzburg pushed up looking to get back level but in injury time, Iker Bravo made it 3-1 with a special 30-yard free-kick.
