FinishedCastilla reversed the tie at the Di Stéfano with a brilliant win over Barcelona Atlètic and will play for promotion against Eldense.
Real Madrid Castilla are set to play in the final of the promotion playoff with a place in the second division at stake. Goals from Dotor, Iker Bravo and Arribas, this last one in stoppage time, saw the reserve team come from behind to beat Barcelona Atlètic in a packed Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium, who never stopped backing their team. Awaiting them in the final for promotion to the second division are Eldense, who also came from behind against Celta 4-3 on aggregate. The first leg will be played at home on 18 or 19 June with the second leg away on 24 or 25 June.
The first chance for our reserve team arrived in the 9th minute with a cross from Álvaro Martín from outside the area that almost found its way into Astralaga's goal. Castilla were pressing high and causing problems for the visitors. Our team prowled around the opposition area when, in the 22nd minute, Álvaro Martín whipped in a cross from the right for Dotor to head the ball past the Catalans' goalkeeper. A great goal from our captain, who has now scored 11 goals this season, to set up the comeback.

The madridistas were having a great spell in the match and they dominated the game. Raúl's men almost levelled the tie, but went into the break with only the one goal on the scoreboard. They kept the same tempo after the restart, but the game opened up as the minutes went by. Barcelona had their first good chances through Núñez and Estanis, but both shots were off-target.
Castilla never gave up
Barcelona Atlètic's continued time wasting meant that the clock was ticking down and the second goal was eluding them despite their efforts. Raúl's changes had their effect, though, and in the 78th minute Iker Bravo popped up to keep our team's hopes alive. The striker, who had only been on the pitch for five minutes, headed home from the penalty spot to make it 2-0 and level the tie. Late in stoppage time, the referee pointed to the penalty spot when Dionkou touched the ball with his hand. The team's top scorer, Arribas, stepped up and hit the spot-kick inside the left post to beat Astralaga, preventing extra time and giving our team a place in the final, capping off an epic comeback. Castilla, just one step away from promotion.
