Real Madrid Castilla earned their first point of the season after drawing with Melilla at the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium. The visitors went ahead courtesy of an own goal after Dani García's was in a questionable position 21'. Raúl's men, however, came back thanks to a Gonzalo brace 27' and 39'. Dani García levelled the scores from the penalty spot in the second half. Our team had a chance to take the lead shortly after but the referee disallowed an Álvaro goal. In spite of the fact that the reserve team dominated throughout the game and had the best chances, the match ended all square.

Castilla quickly took control of the match and in the 13th minute got their first chance after a great through ball from Nico Paz found Palacios, whose cross from the byline couldn't find the target. Despite the dominance of Raúl's side, it was the visitors who went ahead after a tussle in the box between Marvel and Dani García which ended with the Madrid player turning the ball into his own goal. The Melilla forward began the play in a questionable position. Our team was quick to react and equalised thanks to Gonzalo's finish from a corner kick. Castilla took the lead shortly before the end of the first half thanks to another goal from Gonzalo, who this time scored after a great team move.
Melilla drew level in the second half through Dani García, who slotted home a penalty that the referee awarded in the 50th minute. Once again, our team produced a great reaction and could have taken the lead six minutes later, but Álvaro's goal was disallowed when the referee indicated that the ball from Nico Paz's corner had gone out. Tobias also came close to scoring in the 67th minute, after a great move that ended with him hitting the post. Our side went in search of victory until the final minutes, but were unable to get the goal.
