2-2:Academy Clásico ends all square
A Latasa brace put Raúl's boys in the driving seat but they were reduced to ten in the 86th minute and victory slipped through their fingers in the final move of the match.
Real Madrid Castilla were unable to take three points in the academy Clásico clash at the Johan Cruyff Stadium. Victory evaded the madridistas in the final move of the match after they had gone ahead through a Latasa brace. Barcelona B reduced the deficit with a long-ranged Matheus strike and clinched a point when Escobar pounced on a rebound in the 95th minute. Raúl's boys were reduced to ten men on 86' when Pablo Ramón was shown a second yellow card, but they maintain their five-match unbeaten run.
The madridistas allowed Barcelona B barely any chances in the first half of the game, the hosts carving out just two moments of any real threat. The first came after ten minutes when Jutglà found space in the box but blasted over and the second was a Matheus header which also failed to find the target on 26'. Between those two opportunities, our boys opened the scoring, and in some style. Peter whipped in a cross which was cleared by an azulgrana defender and landed at the feet of Latasa, who caught everyone out with a gorgeous left-footed strike which flew straight into the top corner.
