The Real Madrid Graduate School Universidad Europea and the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee (United States) have signed a collaboration to offer a dual master's degree in Sports Marketing. This initiative aims to strengthen shared values in excellence, innovation, and international education in the sports industry, as well as to equip future leaders in sports marketing with practical, analytical, and strategic skills.

Opportunity to obtain a dual degree
This partnership will allow students enrolled in the Marketing Master's program at Vanderbilt University to take five courses at the Real Madrid Graduate School Universidad Europea and earn a second degree in Sports Marketing Strategy.

As part of the program, students must complete three of the five courses online: Sponsorship Management, Sports Event Organization, and Management in esports. Additionally, they will attend in-person classes for Marketing in the New Era and the Real Madrid Challenge at the Real Madrid Graduate School Universidad Europea campus.

Butragueño: “This partnership reinforces our role as a global benchmark”
The general director of the Real Madrid Graduate School Universidad Europea highlighted: “This agreement represents a significant step in our commitment to providing students with international, practical, and excellence-oriented education.”

“By collaborating with Vanderbilt University, one of the most prestigious institutions in the United States, we offer our students a unique opportunity to gain a dual academic perspective (European and American) while experiencing firsthand how innovation and strategy are applied at Real Madrid. For the club, this partnership reinforces our role as a global benchmark not only in sports but also in education and knowledge transfer.”

During the course, students will work alongside Real Madrid Next, the club’s innovation department, on projects currently in development. The aim is to provide students with professional experience in the global sports industry, exposing them to real business challenges and strategic decision-making processes.
