Today’s not a day for sadness, but joy as we’ve won the best competition in the world once again. I feel great pride. Thanks a lot for all the magical nights we’ve had here. I just want to say one thing, the future of Madrid is in great hands with the youngsters. Hala Madrid!”
 
“It’s the end of an era for me, but I'm going to do something with the club. I've experienced 16 years of joy at the greatest club in the world and I never thought I'd win 25 trophies. Real Madrid means a lot from the first day you arrive”.
 
Courtois: “This morning I still couldn't believe that I won my first European Cup. It's an incredible feeling. It's an honour for me to play for Real Madrid. I hope I can carry on like this and help the team to win more trophies because this is the most beautiful thing there is to experience”.
