Third anniversary of club's 35th league title

On 30 April 2022, Real Madrid clinched their 35th LaLiga title. The Whites secured the championship with a 4-0 win over Espanyol with four games left. That evening, Ancelotti‘s side played brilliantly and beat the Catalans courtesy of a Rodrygo brace in the first half and goals from Asensio and Benzema in the second.

Real Madrid were dominant in the 2021-22 season, and on only one matchday, the second, did they not top the standings. As a result of this consistency, the team finished the season 13 and 15 points ahead of Barcelona and Atlético Madrid, second and third, respectively. Benzema had a spectacular campaign and was the top scorer and most influential player with 27 goals. The squad crowned this perfect season with the conquest of La Decimocuarta and the club's 12th Spanish Super Cup.
