Second anniversary of the basketball team's 11th European Cup
On 21 May 2023, our team won the EuroLeague Final Four in Kaunas (78-79).

Real Madrid's basketball team won the European Cup for the eleventh time in its history on 21 May 2023. They did so after edging out Olympiacos in an epic clash, decided by Llull's unforgettable basket with just 3.1 seconds left on the clock (78-79). Our boys were crowned champions at Kaunas' Zalgirio Arena, where Tavares was named Final Four MVP.
On their way to the title, Real Madrid came from 2-0 down in their playoff with Partizan. It was an unbelievable series, which went all the way to game 5. The unplayable Sergio Rodríguez led a historic comeback to book the team's place in the Final Four for the ninth time in 12 years. In the semifinals, we came past Barça for the second successive year, again coming from behind with a sublime second half display (66-78).
