NEWS.

On 27 September 2015, Real Madrid won their fifth ever Intercontinental Basketball Cup. Our team beat Bauru Basket of Brazil in the second game of the final played in Sao Paulo by 91-79, with Llull as MVP. With this victory, the team coached by Laso won the Euroleague, the League, the Copa del Rey, the Supercopa and the Intercontinental Cup.

The final was played over two legs. In the first, the Brazilians surprised Real Madrid by winning 91-90. Our team had to win by more than one point in the second game if they wanted to be champions. Despite the absence of Rudy and Taylor, they achieved the victory led by Carroll (22), Llull (21 points), Thompkins (17) and Ayón (15 rebounds), achieving a difference of 12 points. Just a year earlier, Real Madrid had won the Supercopa, the first of five titles in this feat.
