66 years since club's fourth European Cup
On 3 June 1959, Real Madrid defeated Stade de Reims 2-0 in the final in Stuttgart.

On 3 June 1959, Real Madrid clinched their fourth consecutive European Cup with a 2-0 win over Stade de Reims. It was a repeat of the final of the first edition of the competition, but this time at the Neckarstadion stadium in Stuttgart, where Real Madrid enjoyed a more comfortable result. Real Madrid took the lead after just two minutes with a goal from Mateos and, after the interval, Di Stéfano made it 2-0.
On the road to the final, Real Madrid beat Besiktas, Wiener SK and Atlético Madrid. The semi-final clash against Los Rojiblancos was the first European derby and a replay was needed to decide the finalists. This match was played in Zaragoza and the Madridistas won 2-1, courtesy of goals from Di Stéfano and Puskas. Years later, Real Madrid went on to win the European Cup again on 3 June. It was in 2017 when they lifted La Duodécima against Juventus.
