30 years since Butragueño testimonial game at the Santiago Bernabéu
On 15 June 1995, the club's stadium bid farewell to the Madridista legend with a testimonial game between Real Madrid and Roma.

On 15 June 1995, the Santiago Bernabéu paid tribute to one of Real Madrid's all-time legends. Before ending his spell as a Madridista to finish his playing career in Mexico, Emilio Butragueño was honoured by the fans in a testimonial game between Madrid and Roma. The match ended 4-0 and Butragueño was involved in all the goals.
Butragueño made his debut on 5 February 1984, played 463 official matches and scored 171 goals for Real Madrid, where he won 2 European Cups, 6 LaLiga titles, 2 Copas del Rey, 1 Copa de la Liga, 4 Spanish Super Cups and 1 Copa Iberoamericana. He was capped 69 times by the Spanish national team. He is currently the club's Director of Institutional Relations.
