18 years since club's 30th league title

On 17 June 2007, Real Madrid secured their 30th football league title. The Whites clinched the title on the last matchday and, following the pattern of that season, they did so after a remarkable comeback. Capello's men went a goal down to Mallorca at the Santiago Bernabéu but turned the game around in the second half (3-1) thanks to goals from Reyes (2) and Diarra. The head-to-head record over Barcelona settled a championship that saw both teams finish with 76 points.

Real Madrid, who moved top of the table on matchday 34, won the league after a spectacular final stretch in which they won 10 out of 12 games. That season is also remembered for the comebacks and points earned in the last few minutes. Van Nistelrooy was the top scorer in LaLiga with 25 goals.
