On 24 June 2007, Real Madrid secured their 30th basketball league title. Joan Plaza's men were crowned champions after beating Barcelona in the final. The Whites won the first two games and clinched the championship on the road in the fourth clash (71-82).

In the 2006/07 Regular Season, Real Madrid finished second with a record of 25 wins and 9 defeats. In the playoffs, the Whites faced Valencia Basket in the quarter-finals and Joventut in the semi-finals. Felipe Reyes, MVP of the final, and Bullock, the team's top scorer with an average of 15.1 points, were Madrid's top performers that season.
