Real Madrid enjoy warm reception at Talavera Town Hall
Real Madrid are set to face Talavera for the first time in a competitive game. Ahead of the Copa del Rey clash, the team was warmly received at the Town Hall in the Castilla La Mancha town prior to tonight's clash at the Estadio El Prado (9:00 pm CET).
The club's president of honour, José Martínez Pirri, and vice-president Eduardo Fernández de Blas headed the Real Madrid delegation at an event also attended by executive Manuel Torres; the Director of Institutional Relations, Emilio Butragueño; the Director of Football, Santiago Solari, and madridista legend Roberto Carlos. José Julián Gregorio, Mayor of Talavera, and Jesús Antonio Núñez, MP for Sports, welcomed them to the town, which has been in a celebratory mood with the team's arrival. There was also an exchange of gifts at the event.
