First anniversary of the sixth European Super Cup
On 16 August 2024, Real Madrid beat Atalanta 2-0 at the Stadion Narodowy in Warsaw.
On 16 August 2024, Real Madrid were crowned European super champions for the sixth time, when they beat Atalanta 2-0. Having lifted La Decimoquinta on 1 June, Madrid added another trophy to their incredible continental haul at Warsaw's Stadion Narodowy (Poland). The match marked Mbappé's competitive debut for our team - he also got on the scoresheet and lifted his first trophy in our colours.
Our boys went ahead thanks to Valverde's strike in the second half (59') before Mbappé doubled the lead nine minutes later with a shot from inside the box. Bellingham was named Player of the Match. The European Super Cup was the fourth title of an unforgettable 2024, which yielded a total of five trophies - something the club had only achieved on one other occasion in its 122-year history (in 2017). The Champions League, LaLiga and Spanish Super Cup were already sewn up, before the Intercontinental Cup was added to the list in December.
