Prime Video will premiere the documentary-series 'Real Madrid, la leyenda blanca' on 11 February. The documentary will feature the greatest achievements and milestones that have earned our club its legendary status. It will be broadcast around the world and exclusively in Spain. The programme adopts a new format in the field of sports coverage due to its cinematographic aesthetics and also features images in colour of different moments from the first five European Cups, shown for the first time. The first episode is now available exclusively for members and Madridista card holders until 11 February.
The documentary-series comprises six 45-minute episodes, showcasing the journey that made our club a legend in sporting history, starting with the European Cup victory in 1955-1956. "This is where the beginning of the Real Madrid legend was built," says Emilio Butragueño, the club's Director of Institutional Relations, in the documentary. The series explores the legend forged by Real Madrid and, in particular, what has transformed it into the best club in the world: its 13 European Cups.
The protagonists
'Real Madrid, la leyenda blanca' describes the club's milestones through the eyes and emotions of its protagonists. Legendary figures like Butragueño, Casillas, Mijatović, Camacho, Arbeloa and Lolo Sáinz all feature in the documentary, as well as renowned madridistas such as Alejandro Sanz. The documentary series is a tribute to Real Madrid and to the extraordinary individuals who have passed through its history, keeping the myth afloat. Current stars such as Modrić, Marcelo, Lucas Vázquez and Carvajal explain what it means to belong to the best club of the 20th and 21st centuries. In addition, a special section is dedicated to the greatest figures like Santiago Bernabéu, Di Stéfano, Kopa, Amancio, Gento and Puskas.
Other noteworthy appearances include those of Emiliano Rodríguez, Felipe Reyes, Misa Rodríguez, Antonio Martín and rally driver Carlos Sainz.
